Last night I hosted my Improv Cooking 101 Virtual workshop and it was fantastic to see how many people are ready to start cooking up a storm! It also made me realize that in addition to cooking tips, it helps to know the very best places to store all of this food you're making.
So here you go, these are my favorite food storage essentials. And nope, I'm not paid to recommend these, I just love me some good quality products!
Glass Food Storage Containers
I like these so much I bought two sets. They are oven safe, microwave safe, dishwasher safe, and BPA free. They are also leak proof and you can write on the lids with dry erase markers. Things like, "Dear Husband, please don't eat, this is my lunch." Does it get any better than that?
Glass Mason Jars
These bad boys are versatile. They're great for refrigerating soups and sauces and you can keep them in the freezer for up to a year (or however long those leftovers last).
Reusable Snack Bags
These cute little snack bags are perfect for real food snacks like nuts, seeds, grapes, and apple slices. You can also fit leftover wraps or sandwiches into the larger bags to take them with you for lunch. Don't let anyone tell you they're just for kids, you're saving the planet, and dragonflies are cool. They're a little pricey but they last forever, they're free of all the bad stuff, and they're dishwasher safe.
There you have it, three excellent ways to store your real food goodies.
I can't wait to see what you're cooking! Tag your photos on Facebook and Instagram with #realfoodhouse!
